When Rylik tuned to kickboxing as a teenager women’s competition at WAKO had just started out in light- and semicontact kickboxing. The Polish fighter always dreamt about becoming a world champion in professional boxing. She became Polish Champion at age 15 and captured the following WAKO World Titles under her trainer Jacek Szczygiel:
1991 Lightcontact World Champion, -60 Kg winning over Gabriella Bady
1992 European Champion, Fullcontact in Kavala, Greece and Lightcontact in Varna, Bulgaria
1993 Fullcontact World Champion, -60 Kg winning over Galina Gjumlijska
In 2000 Agnieszka Rylik turned to professional boxing where she earned her nickname “Lady Tyson”. She won various World Titles and retired in 2005 with a 17-1-0 record and 10 of her victories by the way of knockout.
